The first 5 stanzas are very strong. But he relates being on Ecstasy "And when it hit you, you simply shone", he was very far into it by the way he described the people. "Now everyone in that room was beautiful", he said that only because the pills made him see people that way. The character talks about his childhood as a teenager and i guess as he's looking back on it he sees his mistakes and he may question it now. The pills seemed o have made him feel good. As he talks about all of these kinds of feelings at the beginning it seems to me he's describing how he felt on the pills. The way he describes it is very deep and detailed.

In the last stanza he seems to be there seeing this moment. He seems to be proud they made it far. This party was very big and it celebrated on its birthday. It seemed to be a new start and as he was there he got to see a big part of history.
