Finishing Up
Since this is a partial week, any entries you make will be extra credit. Feel free to make some final comments about the class: What did you like best? What did you like least? What do you wish we had done more/less of? etc. You can also use this space to respond to your classmates' readings in the final class.

I have to say this was the best class I have taken at QCC. I have learned so much during this semester. I liked everything about the class. Everything we have done has really had a positive impact on me to write. Between reading different pieces from books to a collection to a play, it has introduced me to different genres in books, it has taught me how to write in different techniques by reading another authors work to see how they wrote their books and it has helped me get ideas to write my pieces from this semester. The best part about the class that was a very strong help to me was group critiques. Every week coming in with a new assignment was very helpful. We got to share it with our group, get feedback, and come back the following week with a revised draft. Every week as I edited my pieces I was motivated to keep writing and keep going, especially adding more work for my collection. My focus was to make the best out of my work and I have accomplished that. I also enjoyed learning how to write in different genres. I have became a stronger writer and everything I have learned from this course this semester I will carry on with me while I continue to write. I am very excited and still motivated to keep on writing l, as my next project is working on writing for kids. I have found something I love throughout this course and I am grateful and appreciative of finding this for myself. I am also appreciative of all the work we have done and read this semester along with the pieces you have shared with us in class. I had a lot of fun during this course. I will carry on everything I learned to continue to go further. Thank you for everything, it was a pleasure.
ReplyDeletethats is great that you'll be writing for children! Im excited for you, good luck and keep going , you'll do great.
DeleteThank you, you as well.
DeleteI also have to say reading out loud in front of the class was interesting. I enjoyed listening to everyone's pieces. It was nice we all shared pieces we have written this semester. We all developed creativity and I enjoyed hearing that creativity. I felt comfortable to share my piece with everyone and no longer was shy as I was at the beginning of the semester to share a piece of my writing. I'm glad we got to share our pieces with one another, it was fun!
ReplyDeleteIm sad to say i will miss this class , i have enjoyed the writing expressing my feelings and getting to meet all of you! thank you professor for a great semester, i wouldn't of chosen a different class. I had forgotten why i loved to write, Im excited to graduated but sad to say goodbye. I would of loved to of taken more classes like this. This was on of the best classes i have taken in Qcc and i would deff recommend this class to other students as for i have learned to write different ways and learned that its ok to let others look at your writing and critique it , I always thought it was a bad thing but i learned its a good thing and it makes you a better writer.
ReplyDeletei just want to say i will really miss this class, although i hardly spoke in class i enjoyed it. I mentioned before that i wanted to drop the class because when i saw that we had to write a 20 page i was nervous. This class helped me, i was able to express myself freely in my collection and my group. Being able to start writing poetry again was the best thing for me. I am happy i didn't drop the class, it made me a better writer. Thank you professor for doing such an amazing this semester
ReplyDeleteUsually When I take a English class it's always a specific topic that we work on. On a book or poem and their are always right and wrong answers. I loved that this class was not only a creative writing class but the freedom that we all had for our thoughts about the books were so openly shared with the possibility of all of them being able to be right. There was no the author meant this you can't be right. I really enjoyed writing every single piece that I wrote in class and at home even if it was just a rough draft. It didn't feel
ReplyDeleteLike a chore to go back to my work and revise it because I enjoyed making my work better I loved the input that all my classmates and professor gave for me to shuffle around the work. I don't think there's anything that I would like to change I thought everything we did was very crucial to the time that we had in the semester and helped us get through and stick it to the end
